An afternoon and evening of forage (pasture and hay) and livestock information.

Agenda:
2:00 – 4:30 PM | Forage and Livestock Resources Round Table
 – Hay, pasture, silage, grazing and veterinary experts will be available to answer your questions in an informal setting. Workshop participants can ask questions and find resources applicable to their individual forage situations.

5:00 – 6:00 PM | Hay! Give me the Good Stuff
 – Gary Fredricks, Washington State University – Paying too much for hay? Livestock still thin after eating? Learn what to look for when buying hay and factors that affect hay nutrition. Learn what makes good hay and how to identify it.  Participants are encouraged to bring hay samples.

6:15 – 7:00 PM | Current Status of Food and Safety Inspection Services (FSIS) labeling for meat products – Veterinary Feed Directive (VFD) Gene Pirelli, OSU Extension

7:00 PM Adjourn

Complimentary light dinner, make your own sandwiches, provided at the evening session.
